Responsibilities
Prepare, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, and discovery documents in both state and federal courts
Manage case files, deadlines, and calendars for multiple attorneys with precision and attention to detail
Draft correspondence and maintain regular communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation—including exhibits, witness lists, and logistics
Assist with document review, e-filing, and organization of case materials using advanced document management tools
Uphold strict confidentiality and ensure compliance with firm and court procedures at all times
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3 years of litigation legal assistant experience, preferably in commercial or complex civil litigation
Strong familiarity with Michigan e-filing systems and court procedures
Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and document management platforms
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work efficiently under tight deadlines
Preferred
Prior exposure to commercial litigation, particularly in areas such as Breach of Contract Disputes, Partnership and Joint Venture Litigation, Class Actions, Business Torts, Breach of Fiduciary Duty Allegations, Antitrust Litigation, Intellectual Property (IP) Disputes
