First Year Associate Attorney
Orion Placement is representing a rapidly growing plaintiff-side law firm focused on employment and consumer class actions. The Associate Attorney will work on complex litigation cases, assisting with drafting legal documents, conducting research, and collaborating with a team to manage a high-volume docket.

Responsibilities
Work as a litigation associate on employment, wage-and-hour, and consumer class and representative actions throughout California
Assist with drafting complaints, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents
Handle and support discovery, including written discovery, document review, and preparation for depositions
Participate in law and motion practice, oral advocacy, and court appearances as opportunities arise
Conduct legal research on statutes, regulations, and case law and prepare clear, concise analyses for supervising attorneys
Collaborate with a team of attorneys and staff to manage a high-volume docket in both state and federal courts
Communicate with clients, co-counsel, and opposing counsel to move cases forward in a timely and professional manner
Support trial preparation and special litigation projects as needed
Qualification
Required
Licensed to practice law in California (or awaiting CA Bar results/admission with strong credentials)
02 years of civil litigation experience; experience with employment, wage-and-hour, or class actions is a plus but not required
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills, with attention to detail and deadlines
Positive, team-oriented attitude and genuine interest in representing employees and consumers
Ability to travel occasionally within California for hearings, depositions, and case-related needs
Preferred
Exposure to discovery, motion practice, oral advocacy, or depositions during law school, clerkships, or prior roles
