Responsibilities
Assumes 24-hour responsibility in supervising, coordinating and directing the activities of the same day surgery/Pre-admission testing/PACU/Endoscop departments
Provides exceptional care for the patient in the peri-operative environment
Accountable for the effective delivery of competent, compassionate, and efficient care for the pre-operative and post-operative patient, undergoing anesthesia, surgery and/or procedures
Includes clinical practice, human resources management to include staffing and evaluations in conjunction with financial management
Qualification
Required
Minimum of two (2) years of recent department-specific experience
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
Registered Nurse with current Virginia RN license
Current BLS for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association or CPR through American Red Cross
Preferred
Charge nurse, supervisory expertise in surgical services
Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Master's preferred
