Facilities Assistant

MarSell Wellness Center is focused on maintaining a clean and functional office environment, and they are seeking a Facilities Assistant to support the operations of their facilities. The role involves performing maintenance tasks, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Perform basic maintenance tasks such as assembling office furniture, replacing light bulbs, and troubleshooting minor equipment issues
Act as the first point of contact for reporting facility issues; escalate to vendors or contractors as needed
Coordinate incoming/outgoing deliveries
Support office moves, desk setups, and rearrangements
Monitor cleaning materials, and breakroom items
Maintain up-to-date records of maintenance schedules and safety inspections
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards (e.g., fire exits, first aid stations, PPE)
Liaise with cleaning and maintenance vendors to schedule regular services and urgent repairs
Assist with routine maintenance tasks, minor repairs, and reporting of facility issues
Respond to internal service requests from staff in a timely and professional manner

Required

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus
Proficient with basic tools and comfortable with minor repairs or troubleshooting
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a busy office setting
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with workplace safety standards and procedures
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record required
Comfortable with occasional travel between office locations or vendors

Preferred

Previous experience in facilities, maintenance, or office support role preferred
Basic understanding of building systems (HVAC, lighting, security) is helpful
Familiarity with Microsoft Office or facilities management software is an advantage
