This highly visible role involves overseeing accounting operations, strengthening financial controls, and supporting team development in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
Support and oversee the monthly close process, including review of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
Lead and support manufacturing cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, standard costing, variances, and margin analysis
Partner with plant and operations leaders to understand production drivers and their impact on financial results
Assist with cash management activities, working capital analysis, and coordination with treasury as needed
Maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies, and procedures to support accuracy and compliance
Support annual audits and act as a primary point of contact for external auditors
Help drive ERP usage, data integrity, and continuous process improvement initiatives
Provide leadership, coaching, and development to accounting and shared services team members
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of progressive accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
Strong background in cost accounting and inventory intensive operations
Prior experience in a Controller or Assistant Controller capacity, or readiness to step into that level
ERP experience within a manufacturing setting; comfort working in evolving system environments
Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
Ability to work on site and partner closely with cross functional teams
