Responsibilities
Perform blending of surfaces and apply or remove excess material using hand tools or machinery
Set up and use various machines, fixtures, and tools
Modify parts according to specifications
Mix production materials as required
Follow production specifications at all times
Embrace and implement continuous improvement and lean principles
Maintain department safety and housekeeping standards
Ensure compliance with the Quality Control Manual (QCM)
Be aware of and comply with ISO and Total Customer Satisfaction (TCS) quality requirements
Ensure compliance with Company RSM and ISO/TCS requirements
Adhere to all company health, safety, and environmental policies
Adhere to and promote the Corporate Code of Ethical Standards
Maintain regular and reliable attendance
Perform other tasks in the facility as needed
Read and write in English
Follow oral and written instructions
Use handheld measuring tools
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Wear required PPE including eye protection in production areas and hearing protection when posted
Use chemical-resistant clothing, apron, gloves, boots, and face shields depending on job duty
Carry components up to 10 lbs for distances up to 100 yards at waist level
Employees are not permitted to lift or push objects over 35 lbs
Assistance must be requested for lifting objects over 35 lbs
Qualification
Required
Ability to speak and listen effectively to follow instructions in English
Ability to write and speak complete sentences and understand verbal and written instructions in English
Preferred
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Previous metal working experience preferred but not required
