Responsibilities
Manage and supervise field construction activities, including company crews, subcontractors, and suppliers
Deliver projects on schedule and within budget, while upholding strict safety and quality standards
Review and approve construction methods, sequencing, and operations
Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials for efficient field execution
Lead pre-construction and planning meetings in collaboration with project management and estimating teams
Maintain full understanding of project scope, drawings, and specifications
Direct and mentor foremen and field teams
Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Estimators to ensure consistent communication and alignment
Supervise and update the project schedule, ensuring critical milestones are achieved
Act as the primary field liaison for owners, engineers, and inspectors; attend weekly coordination meetings
Oversee and enforce job site safety compliance with OSHA and company standards
Manage labor relations, productivity, and crew performance
Review job costs, production efficiency, and timesheet processing
Lead project closeout and ensure punch list completion
Qualification
Required
Strong expertise in heavy civil construction, particularly structures, bridges, and concrete work
Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop field teams effectively
Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
Skilled in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and time management
Thorough understanding of construction industry standards, methods, and safety regulations
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
Strong commitment to safety and operational excellence
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience
