Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, loaders, graders, backhoes, and haul trucks
Inspect, repair, and replace hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems as needed
Utilize CAT ET and CAT SIS diagnostic software to identify and resolve issues
Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment reliability and performance
Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair updates to supervisors
Collaborate with operators and site teams to minimize downtime and maximize uptime
Follow all company and OSHA safety protocols during shop and field work
Qualification
Required
3+ years of hands-on experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Diesel Technician
Strong background with Caterpillar equipment
Proficiency with CAT ET and CAT SIS required
Skilled in hydraulic, electrical, and engine troubleshooting
Experience with civil construction equipment such as graders, dozers, compactors, and scrapers
Must be dependable, safety-focused, and able to work independently
Valid driver's license required
