Labor & Employment Attorney (1 - 4 yr)
Career Consulting Partners is proud to partner with a well-established boutique labor and employment law firm located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. The firm is seeking a driven Labor and Employment Attorney to join its expanding plaintiff-side practice, where you will represent employees in various employment-related issues and gain substantial hands-on litigation experience.

Responsibilities
Manage employment law matters representing victims of wage theft on a class-wide basis as it relates to unpaid overtime, meal and rest breaks, unreimbursed expenses, and more under the supervision of a senior attorney
Oversee case progress, including pleadings, discovery, and settlement negotiations
Handle a caseload where approximately one-third of matters are expected to settle shortly after filing
You will have professional staff to assist with your caseload, such as preparing legal filings and gathering client information for discovery responses, allowing you to focus solely on legal work
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
An active member of the California State Bar in good standing
1 - 4 years of experience practicing employment law, with a focus on wage and hour class action/PAGA
Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to handle a caseload independently and meet deadlines
Strong negotiation and advocacy skills
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

Employment law experience with a focus on class action and PAGA work
