Responsibilities
Manage and litigate single-plaintiff and class/collective employment matters, including wage and hour, PAGA, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and breach of contract claims
Handle all aspects of litigation, including strategy, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
Conduct employment-related due diligence and advise on employment aspects of corporate transactions
Draft and negotiate employment, severance, termination, and related agreements
Advise clients on reductions in force, employee mobility, restrictive covenants, compensation practices, commission plans, policies, training, and leave issues
Provide day-to-day employment counseling to clients and support cross-practice initiatives
Qualification
Required
JD from an accredited law school
Active admission to practice in California
Minimum of 6 years of labor and employment experience, including litigation, transactional, and advice & counsel work
Strong working knowledge of California and federal employment laws, including wage and hour and the California Labor Code
Experience defending class and collective actions and PAGA claims
Preferred
Trial experience strongly preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Exceptional attention to detail and sound professional judgment
Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and project management skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
