Responsibilities
Defend public entities and unions in employment-related disputes
Handle administrative hearings, bench trials, and contested motions
Draft and argue briefs, motions, and appeals
Take early ownership of diverse cases with direct client exposure
Balance both defense and plaintiff-side litigation for a broader skill set
Qualification
Required
A California-barred attorney with 0 to 10 years of experience (first-years welcome)
Eager to gain courtroom experience and sharpen your writing and research skills
Drawn to public service, law enforcement, or labor and employment law
Detail-oriented, curious, and comfortable with responsibility
Open to feedback, mentorship, and professional growth
Preferred
Prior paralegal or legal support experience is a plus, especially for newer grads
