Responsibilities
Reads and interprets technical blueprints and design models and inputs the product design into the computer modeling software
Programs and sets up CNC milling, lathe (Haas), or Wire EDM (Sodick) according to blueprint specifications
Utilizes G or M code and CAM software (MasterCAM)
Adjusts machine settings to the desired product specifications and troubleshoots and maintains the machine
Tests accuracy of settings and programs
Reports to a supervisor or manager
Highly independent
May assume a team lead role for the work group
A specialist on complex technical and business matters
Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with company quality standards
Qualification
Required
7+ years' experience in CNC machining environment. (CNC Lathes, Mills, & wire EDM)
Use measuring tools to accurately inspect parts
Program using MasterCAM
Use bandsaw and basic hand tools
Must be able to read blueprints or drawings
Requires a bachelor's degree
