Responsibilities
Design, build, and scale Whop's overall compliance program
Own AML/KYC, sanctions screening, and transaction monitoring programs
Manage trust & safety frameworks, prohibited products policies, and merchant underwriting
Manage privacy, data protection, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
Ensure new features (including crypto/stablecoin) are compliant by design
Qualification
Required
7+ years in compliance, AML/KYC, or regulatory affairs at payments/fintech/marketplace companies
Comfortable with regulatory ambiguity — you can translate unclear rules into defensible positions
Strong with numbers, metrics, and operational details
High agency, builder mindset, good partner
Preferred
Exposure to crypto/stablecoins is a plus
