Responsibilities
Act as an Oracle Financials SME to analyze requirements, recommend solutions, configure Oracle R12 financial modules, and perform functional testing in a regulated and SOX-compliant environment
Configure new Operating Units (OUs) and Oracle Financial modules including General Ledger (GL), Subledger Accounting (SLA), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Tax (EbTax & Vertex), Projects, and Costing ; prepare and maintain configuration documentation
Collaborate with accounting teams, business users, and business analysts to understand requirements, define project roadmaps, and deliver scalable solutions
Work with cross-functional stakeholders to track project progress, communicate risks and status, and assess potential business impacts
Develop functional specifications for reports, custom programs, and third-party integrations; act as liaison between business stakeholders and technical development teams
Create test plans and test scripts, conduct end-to-end functional testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Troubleshoot issues related to Oracle Financial modules and third-party integrations, and coordinate with Oracle Support and software vendors on system defects and fixes
Leverage working knowledge of Oracle tables and SQL to analyze data and diagnose system issues
Support integrations with third-party systems such as labor accounting, exchange rates, and other financial interfaces
Produce clear technical and non-technical documentation and effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
Qualification
Required
7+ years of experience as an Oracle ERP Financial Functional Consultant
5+ years of IT-relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years of IT-relevant experience without a Bachelor's degree
Bachelor's degree in any field
Strong expertise in Oracle Financial modules including GL, SLA, AP, AR, FA, and Tax (EbTax & Vertex)
Strong finance and accounting domain knowledge
Working knowledge of SQL for troubleshooting and analysis
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
Preferred
Exposure to Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
Experience with iProcurement / Purchasing (PO) modules is a plus
