Responsibilities

Prepare bank reconciliations, monitor accounts payable and p-cards for client organizations
Capital asset roll forward
Conduct cash counts
Perform agreed upon procedures for construction manager-at-risk engagements and ensure the contractor adhered to the guaranteed maximum price and contract provisions
Support school district efficiency audits under HB 3, 86th Legislature
Assist with federal compliance testing, including Single Audit requirements and grant compliance
Internal control reviews and business process improvement
Review procurement processes for compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Participate in internal audit engagements, including risk assessments and control testing
Contribute to forensic accounting projects, including fraud investigations and data analysis
Prepare clear and accurate workpapers, reports, and client deliverables in accordance with professional standards
Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and timely service delivery
Stay current on relevant accounting standards, compliance requirements, and industry best practices

Required

0–2 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or consulting (internship experience considered)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
High level of integrity and commitment to quality

Preferred

CPA or CPA eligibility preferred (or willingness to pursue certification)
Familiarity with governmental accounting and compliance standards preferred
