Airswift is seeking a Risk and Loss Prevention Engineer for a major Oil and Gas company. The role involves evaluating engineering work to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards, as well as facilitating communication among the project team and managing assessments and action items.

Responsibilities

Review designs for new projects and upgrade of existing facilities for compliance with company and industry safety standards

Works with Project Team to coordinate timely completion of studies and assessments

Supports Advisor and Project Teams in coordination with EPCs for contractor led/facilitated assessments

Develops/ Reviews study charters, carries out reviews and prepares reports

Follows up with action owners to progress Action Resolution Plan development and endorsement

Stewards and progresses action items to resolution

As needed, facilitates Company led studies/assessments

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in EngineeringOffshore experienceHAZOP facilitationConsequence modellingDiscipline design standardsMicrosoft Office proficiencyAdaptability to deadlinesCommunication skillsInterpersonal skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering within discipline or equivalent professional experience

Offshore experience, particularly in the subsea area

Guideword HAZOP facilitation experience

Able to carry out consequence modelling (using DNV PHAST)

Extensive knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria

Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
