Produce Broker
Minutemen Direct is looking for a Produce Broker to serve as the intermediary between growers, wholesale distributors, and retail/foodservice buyers. The role focuses on building relationships, negotiating pricing, and managing the lifecycle of produce sales from procurement to delivery.
Responsibilities
Identify new sales opportunities; expand the customer base across retail, distribution, and foodservice sectors
Cultivate and maintain relationships with growers, wholesalers, and buyers; act as the primary point-of-contact
Source produce from growers and negotiate pricing, quality standards, and delivery schedules
Sell produce to existing and prospective customers; set competitive pricing aligned with market trends
Coordinate transportation, delivery schedules, and logistics to ensure fresh and timely product fulfillment
Monitor local and regional market conditions, pricing fluctuations, and competitor actions
Maintain accurate sales, procurement, and pricing records; prepare regular updates for management
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3–5 years in produce sales, brokerage, or related agricultural commerce
Excellent negotiation, communication, analytical, and organization skills
Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, CRM tools)
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or in a team
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Business, Agriculture, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
