Responsibilities
Install, assemble, and supervise piping systems for geothermal drilling and ground-source heat pump applications, including HDPE, fusion-welded piping, and mechanical room piping
Lead layout, fabrication, installation, pressure testing, flushing, and commissioning of geothermal loop systems
Interpret construction drawings, schematics, and specifications related to geothermal and mechanical piping
Ensure compliance with applicable state plumbing/mechanical codes, OSHA regulations, and project specifications
Coordinate with drill crews, HVAC technicians, engineers, inspectors, and project managers
Supervise apprentices and journeypersons; provide technical guidance and quality control
Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and system modifications as required
Maintain accurate documentation, including as-built drawings and inspection records
Support project scheduling and material planning to maintain productivity and timelines
All other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualification
Required
HS Diploma and/or GED or higher
Must have an active PM-00, PM-001 or PM-002 license
Must have active OSHA 30, Confined Space Certification and HAZWOPER
Strong knowledge of geothermal loop systems, fusion welding (or willingness to certify), and pressure testing procedures
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and mechanical drawings
Demonstrated leadership and job-site supervision experience
Strong understanding of safety practices and regulatory compliance
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites within the Northeast Region of the USA
