Payroll Supervisor
CFS is seeking a Payroll Supervisor who will be responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant administration of all payroll functions. This role involves managing payroll operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and collaborating with Human Resources and Finance teams.

Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and manage all aspects of payroll operations
Ensure accurate and timely bi‑weekly payroll processing in Munis, including deductions, balancing, reconciliation, reporting, and recordkeeping
Serve as system administrator and subject‑matter expert for Munis, Frontline Absence Management, Frontline Time & Attendance, PSST, and related platforms
Process and review wage, stipend, and benefit changes, ensuring proper authorization and compliance with procedures and policies
Prepare, file, and maintain all required federal, state, and agency payroll reports
Oversee, train, and support the Benefits Specialist involved in payroll and benefits administration
Develop detailed annual payroll budget projections, including step movements, wage increases, stipends, and related payroll costs
Participate in budget development and review meetings; prepare payroll cost analyses and provide documentation for audits
Respond professionally and confidentially to employee inquiries regarding payroll, compensation, and deductions
Maintain accurate payroll records and employee schedules within Frontline and related systems
Coordinate with payroll‑related vendors and external partners as needed
Monitor changes in payroll, tax, and benefits laws and regulations, assisting in procedural updates
Lead or participate in special projects related to payroll, benefits, and HR as assigned
Qualification
Required
Strong working knowledge of payroll, benefits, and relevant HR laws and regulations
Solid understanding of accounting/bookkeeping principles; strong mathematical, analytical, and technology skills
Ability to manage projects independently, exercise sound judgment, and escalate issues appropriately
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities
Preferred
Experience in school district or municipal environments
Experience with Tyler Technologies platforms (Munis, Infinite Visions)
Associate's degree or higher
5+ years of progressively responsible payroll administration experience, including payroll and benefits expertise
