Responsibilities
Assemble products using pre-established guidelines, instructions, and documentation (diagrams, work instructions, drawings, etc.)
Work with small hand tools such as, electric drivers, torque tools, wire strippers, cutters, tweezers, and use measuring devices such as spacers and calipers
Crimp, stake, screw, bolt, epoxy, fasten, align, adjust, press fit or perform similar operations to join or secure parts in place, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment
Mount assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets on printed circuit boards and chassis
Connect wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals and contact points using soldering procedures and equipment
May perform assembly operations under microscope or other magnifying devices
Perform online go-not-go testing and inspection, using magnifying devices, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment, to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards
Learn through hands-on training while focusing on achieving necessary level of proficiency
Report/investigate repetitive assembly problems and propose solutions to resolve them
Work efficiently to finish jobs in a timely manner
Work under the supervision of Lead or Manager
Work collaboratively and cooperatively with other departments: Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials, Quality, etc
Document all work performed on product within the ERP system
Adhere to established Company procedures and policies, work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings
Adhere to and improve safety standards
Manage workstation and practice good housekeeping techniques
Strive for continual improvement to quality
Qualification
Required
High School diploma/GED required
Must have a strong background in precision mechanical assembly
Experience with proper soldering techniques and ESD prevention
Ability to read and understand schematics, work instructions, and complex drawings/diagrams
Manual dexterity and ability to use common hand tools, calipers, micrometers and other measuring and test tools
Strong communication skills (verbal and written), as well as strong organizational skills
Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills
Must have strong computer literacy to use ERP, PC and Microsoft products: Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Preferred
Associate degree preferred
J-STD Certification a plus
Clean room environment experience a plus
Proficient with electronic test equipment, as needed to fulfill the duties of this role (various meters, power supply) highly desired
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
