Responsibilities

Deliver extensive EDM machining knowledge and experience to training center students, comprehensive of conventional machine tools, manual and CNC machining including programming (Mill, Lathe, EDM, Grind) and manual processes like finishing and metrology
Translate Moog specific product and process knowledge to address skills gaps within the organization
Coach/mentor students on machine operations, programming, machine safety, and coach students through kit-based learning in multiple work centers
Clearly and concisely present training presentations, engage students, and provide one on one coaching
Conduct skills gap analyses to identify training needs and develop appropriate training solutions for each student, and for the campus
Design and develop technical training courses for various levels, from beginners to advanced users
Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure training programs align with organizational goals and industry standards
Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and performance metrics, and implement improvements as needed
Demonstrate Moog’s culture and values in everyday processes, interactions, and activities

Required

A secondary school qualification (a HS diploma, G.E.D., etc. in the US) or basic vocational/technical education in related discipline
Over five (5) years of EDM machining experience, inclusive of extensive knowledge in machine operations, programming, and machine safety
At least five (5) years' experience should also include effective technical training and mentoring of machinists at all levels (beginner to advanced)
The demonstrated ability to coordinate and deliver training sessions, and coordinated materials, including hands-on workshops, seminars, and online courses
Strong skills in translating technical needs within the business to effective training initiatives to address skills gaps and knowledge transfer protocols
Excellent communication skills to effectively teach and mentor students
Must carry a positive attitude and the passion for working with others to help them grow

Preferred

Additional machining experience, specifically with CNC lathe and mill
Proficiency in in operations IT tools, systems and routers, such as Teamcenter
Knowledge of Moog products and machining processes
