Sr. Business Development Leader

VSE Aviation is seeking a Sr. Business Development Leader responsible for executing sales and supporting the sales team goals and growth initiatives. This role involves maintaining customer relationships, analyzing sales data, and developing business with both existing and new customers.

Responsibilities

Answer and prepare communications for quotes, orders, and other customer requests
Review and process orders, ensuring all customer requirements are met
Responsible for customer experience and KPI’s
Follow up on actionable items and tracks requirements to ensure completion through processes
Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner to maintain customer loyalty
Identify potential customers through networking initiatives, cold-calling, and email communications
Research competitors’ products, pricing, and product success to determine customer preferences
Coordinate with other departments to meet plan and assists with customer requirements
Keep management informed by preparing results, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, monthly and annual territory analyses
Provide support and training to less experienced Sales Representatives as needed
Support department manager in day-to-day tasks
Expand industry knowledge by attending educational workshops and reading professional publications
Other duties as assigned or required

Required

Establishing and maintaining open and direct contact with customers for the purpose of executing sales and supporting the sales team goals and growth initiatives
Owning customer relationships
Working with product line managers and department managers for pricing initiatives
Coordinating, tracking, and reporting customer data, trends, and sales opportunities
Setting up sales pipelines to determine the effectiveness of personal sales strategies
Keeping abreast of the latest industry trends
Providing excellent after-sales service to retain customers
Developing business with existing customers and new customers
