Responsibilities
Prepares, administers, and records prescribed medications as administered
Records all care information concisely, accurately, and completely in a timely manner
Administers medications, treatments, IV's, catheters, and obtains blood samples as necessary
Evaluates nursing care with emphasis on medication administration, prescribed treatments, and patient responses; consults with supervisory nurse in the establishment of short-term and long-range goals for patients
Reports adverse reactions of medications and/or treatments in accordance with facility policies and procedures
Provides bedside care for a wide variety of patients
Participates in discharge planning as needed
Qualification
Required
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) certification
Ability to prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications
Ability to record care information concisely, accurately, and completely in a timely manner
Experience in administering medications, treatments, IV's, catheters, and obtaining blood samples
Ability to evaluate nursing care with emphasis on medication administration, prescribed treatments, and patient responses
Ability to report adverse reactions of medications and/or treatments in accordance with facility policies and procedures
Ability to provide bedside care for a wide variety of patients
Participation in discharge planning as needed
