Responsibilities
Weekly payroll – all divisions
Onboarding – all divisions
Remit weekly taxes – all divisions
Remit weekly garnishments/child support – all divisions
Weekly certified payroll reports – all divisions
Weekly lodging allowance/per diem – all divisions
Quarterly payroll reports – all divisions
Monthly union reports – all divisions
Annual W-2’s – all divisions
Annual ACA reporting – all divisions
Viewpoint updating: union fringes/rates
Craft/class changes
Annual rate updates (FICA, etc.)
Process payroll tie-out account balances
Bank reconciliations (payroll-related)
Benefits (payroll-related setup/maintenance as assigned)
Child support payments
PTO balance maintenance
Misc. correspondence: child support, levies, SUTA
Tie out payroll G/L accounts monthly/quarterly
Set up new DOT files
Background checks
Driving records (maintain annual driving records & violations)
Annual work comp/general liability audits
Annual WSI audit
Union audits as required
Qualification
Required
Experience processing weekly payroll
Experience remitting payroll taxes and handling garnishments/child support
Experience producing certified payroll reports and union reporting
Experience with payroll reconciliations, including G/L tie-outs and payroll-related bank reconciliations
Ability to maintain confidential employee and payroll information
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet weekly deadlines
