Responsibilities
Oversee the development of real-time dashboards that track our core metrics and allow self-service BI investigations
Proactively generate meaningful insights that support goals and product decisions. Turn Qwoted’s raw data into stories that inform product and strategic decisions
Help leadership quantify the potential impact of proposed initiatives so we can prioritize resources toward the highest-value opportunities
Regularly communicate with key stakeholders across the organization to share insights and data stories that inform their decision-making. Hold regular BI meetings to discuss your proactive investigations and performance of our core metrics
Support each Qwoted team by providing the information they need to make decisions and support their operations. Support the team at large with easy-to-access data repositories that simplify and standardize information gathering
Proactively monitor and report on components of the Qwoted product. Engage in post-release testing and reporting on the health of recently-released components
Participate in the development and maintenance of metadata of the Qwoted database
Establish policies for data integrity, security, and compliance with modern data privacy regulations. Conduct data validation and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality outputs
Where appropriate, use AI agents and machine learning models to automate data investigations and predictive modeling
Qualification
Required
NYC or proximate candidates only

Mastery of modern tools like Metabase
Advanced proficiency in SQL (essential) for complex data manipulation and statistical programming
Understanding of cloud-native data warehousing
High level of decision intelligence, 'data storytelling,' and the ability to influence cross-functional teams with your findings
Requires at least 5 years in business intelligence, product analytics, or data analytics—ideally at a marketplace or B2B SaaS company
Ability to graphically represent data stories, orders of magnitude, and data comparisons
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or the equivalent work experience
Preferred
Claude Code and Python are nice-to-have
