Real Estate Client Accounting Services Manager
Miller Cooper & Co., Ltd. is seeking a Real Estate Client Accounting Services Manager to join their growing team. The role involves managing real estate engagements, performing accounting services, and maintaining client relationships to ensure effective service delivery.
Responsibilities
Manage the overall progress of real estate engagements in relation to staffing, budgets, deliverables, and deadlines for various real estate clients
Perform accounting services for real estate clients, including bank and general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, compile financial statements, create/maintain financial projections, etc
Manage financial reporting accuracy utilizing available tools to ensure efficient client workflow and on-time delivery of client deliverables
Prepare schedules needed for external auditors and tax return preparers
Manage the client relationships year-round, and look for opportunities to provide additional services
Assist with researching, implementing, training on new accounting software
Build trust and a personal connection with owners/decision makers in addition to the accounting team, learn about clients outside of their business
Supervise assigned in charge/supervisors and ensure evaluation reports are completed
Effectively schedule and staff engagements and work to improve the realization and utilization
Actively mentor teams during engagements and support their learning and overall career progression
Proactively build a referral network of bankers and professionals and seek new business opportunities
Other duties as assigned, such as special projects, including other agreed upon procedures set forth by clients
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting
CPA License required in lieu of master's degree
5+ years of experience in a controller/CFO role or client accounting services role in a public accounting firm
Extensive experience in real estate analysis and financial reporting is required
Expert-level proficiency with Yardi and MRI software is required
Experience supervising and mentoring staff
Passion for client service and an entrepreneurial mindset
DAILY ACCESS TO RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION to travel to and from client locations and our office locations
