Responsibilities
Perform onscreen takeoffs of piping and/or ductwork systems
Prepare quantity surveys of material from plans and specifications
Enter counts into Trimble AutoBid estimating software
Perform administrative tasks to support the estimating department
Perform other duties as assigned by the Estimating Manager
Qualification
Required
Active students pursuing a college degree in a field applicable to construction
Interest in Project Cost Estimating and/or Project Management
Perform onscreen takeoffs of piping and/or ductwork systems
Prepare quantity surveys of material from plans and specifications
Enter counts into Trimble AutoBid estimating software
Perform administrative tasks to support the estimating department
Perform other duties as assigned by the Estimating Manager
Fast learning, focused, and driven individual with an interest in mechanical piping and plumbing systems
Ability to accurately and consistently execute processes and provide the same quality work product daily
Ability to take directions from departmental managers and/or instructors
Exceptional written, verbal communication skills and listening skills
Strong work ethic, Professional, Dependable, Punctual, Positive Attitude
Organization and attention to detail
Mid-level to advanced computer skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word
High School Diploma or GED
Actively pursuing associate degree or higher-level education in field applicable to construction
40 hours/week in Jacksonville office. No remote work
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Preferred
0–1-year experience in Trimble AutoBid, prior experience is preferred
