Director, Global IVD and Life Sciences Business Development

Responsibilities

Collaborate with segment strategic marketing partners to build and refine Global IVD and Life Sciences Strategy and map sales talent needs globally for segments
Assess segment competitive landscape recommending capabilities for differentiated offerings
Drive and deliver growth for Global In vitro Diagnostics and Life Sciences Segment globally, particularly in the Bioprocessing end market
Build and strengthen capabilities (organization, processes) for sustainable growth
Build/ Strengthen a strong network with customers
Initially as an individual contributor, build sales pipeline, win New Business Awards (NBA’s) aligned to Strategic objectives of the segment and business for the region
Work with Global Costing, Manufacturing, and Research and Development Teams to build design, development, and manufacturing transfer proposals to clients in IVD and Life Sciences end markets
Actively nurture and support strategic customer relationships and assisting with the negotiation of 'win/win' outcomes
Collaboratively work with multiple stakeholders internally across geographies (US, UK, Europe and Asia) and functions (R&D, Operations, Marketing, Commercial Excellence, Platform etc.) to win and execute programs
Strengthen and maintain CXO connects across the key customers
Account Management
Identify technology trends in markets that should be developed into Phillips Medisize strategic capabilities
Participate and engage in marketing activities
Serve as KOL for segment, driving credibility in existing IVD vertical and market entry into new Bioprocessing and other adjacent Life Science verticals

Required

Fifteen (15) years or more experience developing/closing agreements with new Life sciences and/or In Vitro Diagnostics customers, markets, and technologies (including strategy development, execution and contract proposal development and negotiation)
Bachelor's degree or higher in business marketing or bioengineering
Five (5) years or more people management experience (talent management, development, retention and engagement)

Preferred

Master's degree in business marketing or bioengineering
Experience with product development, contract manufacturing and associated processes
Experience with design, development, and manufacture of single use bioprocessing devices, injection molding, plastics/metal materials and associated processes
Experience with assay and device design for IVD and Life Sciences end markets
Knowledge of assigned market segment(s) and customer base (both existing and potential) in technology, developing trends and opportunities
