Responsibilities
Lead the technical design and plan development for stream and wetland restoration and stormwater management projects
Review survey data
Develop HEC-RAS or TR-55 models
Create grading plans in Civil 3D
Coordinate with permitting specialists and PMs
Produce high-quality plan sets
Run QA/QC reviews
Communicate with clients and agencies to support approval processes
Perform site assessments
Support QA/QC during construction to ensure plans are implemented as designed
Create concept plans
Oversee agency submittals
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or ecological engineering
PE license in the appropriate state
5+ years of professional experience in restoration, stormwater, or site development
Advanced capability in stream, wetland, or stormwater management design, including feasibility studies, concept design, and restoration plans development
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and relevant modeling tools (e.g., HEC-RAS, FlowMaster, TR-55, GIS, MicroStation)
Strong understanding of stream geomorphology, hydraulics, sediment transport, and/or stormwater BMP design
Ability to communicate directly with clients and regulatory agencies
Comfort leading design work with minimal oversight and supporting QA/QC in the field
Experience coordinating work within multi-disciplinary teams
Preferred
Master's degree in civil, environmental, or ecological engineering
Successfully navigated multiple permitting processes across state, federal, and local agencies
Ability to mentor and guide junior engineering staff in design and plan production
Previous experience with Water Volumetric Accounting
