Responsibilities
Process high-volume transactions across multiple areas of accounting, including general ledger, payroll, bank, fixed assets, loans, and more
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data through meticulous data entry, validation, and reconciliation processes
Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing processes by performing reconciliations, allocations, and journal entries
Conduct in-depth variance analysis and trend analysis. Provide insights into variances for operational management upon request
Process capitalizations, disposals, depreciation runs, and occasional transfers for an equipment rental subsidiary
Manage and maintain lease records and classifications in the lease software CrunchAFI
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operational management, AP, AR, and executive management, to provide data to support strategic decision-making
Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy in transaction processing and implement process improvements
Leverage advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, etc.) to analyze and transform financial data and create templates for journal entry loads
Analyze complex financial discrepancies and challenges and develop solutions to ensure accurate financial reporting
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting
In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations
Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Experience with large data sets
Adaptability is required as priorities change daily
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
Ability to collaborate with all levels within the various companies
High degree of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information
Interest in helping create a brand new inventory system from the ground up
