Responsibilities
Performs maintenance and repair on customer vehicles
Identifies problems with vehicles uses the diagnostic equipment
Explains automotive repairs and issues and provides great customer service
Plans repair procedures uses charts manuals and experience
Tests the functionality of parts and systems
Performs basic auto care and maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid level checks, and tire rotation
Repairs and replaces brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors and other parts
Performs routine maintenance and general mechanic work on vehicles
Prepares to get additional certification as needed
Learns with hands-on training
Helps keep repair shop clean and organized
Keeps a professional appearance
Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid Driver's License
ASE Certifications
Computer skills required: Reynolds and Reynolds DMS, Google Workplace (GMAIL, Docs, Sheets, Drive, Meet)
Automotive and engine repair experience or auto mechanic training required
Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service
Must read, interpret and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records
Perform routine maintenance and other tasks in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to excellence and high standards
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Ability to manage priorities and workflow
