2026 Fulltime - Mechanical Engineer I - Onsite

They are seeking a Mechanical Engineer I to lead new product development in the Electronic Warfare Mechanical Engineering section, focusing on the design and integration of RF products for airborne platforms.

Responsibilities
The Mechanical Engineer I will perform conceptual and detailed mechanical design of RF products/sub-systems, High Density Electronic packaging designs, Antennas, and Electronic components/devices for application in ground, sea, and air‐borne defense
Responsibilities include the design of structures, mechanisms, thermal systems, and electronic enclosures
Candidate will be expected to follow established procedures and instructions while working closely with program/functional supervision to ensure the overall design objectives are met with the design
Contacts are primarily with the immediate section manager, team lead, project leaders, and other personnel (peers) within the applicable program
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
Experience in mechanical engineering design and product support through educational coursework or prior internship
Experience with 3-D modeling and analysis using Creo or other tools
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Active and existing security clearance required after day 1
Preferred
Experience with M/S Office tools i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
Ability to apply basic principles, theories, and concepts within the mechanical engineering field and general knowledge of other related disciplines
Knowledgeable in reading mechanical fabrication and assembly drawings
Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) analysis for drawings
Direct experience in developing detail mechanical designs and documentation packages for RF, Electronic and/or mechanical systems
