Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain credentialing and contracting data, deadlines, and tasks to ensure compliance and timely completion
Manage the credentialing department email inbox, respond promptly to inquiries, and delegate tasks to team members as appropriate
Review onboarding documentation for new providers, ensuring all required materials are received, and coordinate follow-up when information is missing
Organize, upload, and document all credentialing materials accurately, notifying relevant team members as needed
Verify provider credentials, licenses, insurance, and certifications, and proactively coordinate renewals prior to expiration
Create, update, and maintain CAQH profiles for new providers
Manage re-attestations for existing provider CAQH profiles
Complete initial credentialing applications for new providers and follow up to ensure timely processing
Oversee recredentialing applications and related timelines
Lead rate negotiation application submissions and follow-up for payer contracts
Manage new payer contract inquiries and submission processes
Submit, track, and follow up on out-of-state licensure and credentialing applications
Oversee contract-related issues and collaborate with internal departments to resolve them efficiently
Communicate regularly with leadership regarding departmental status, workload, and plans for growth and development
Track department goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) and report progress to leadership and the team
Qualification
Required
Must have 3 year experience with Credentialing and Contracting for Behavioral Health
Experience supervising/managing a Credentialing/Contracting Team
Experience with facility contracting a plus
Experience in Mondays a plus
Spanish Speaking a plus
Must work well independently
