Responsibilities
Field collection of environmental samples (air, water, stormwater, wastewater, soil)
Routine regulatory reporting related to stormwater, wastewater, solid/hazardous waste, and air permit compliance
Preparing environmental management plans related to stormwater pollution prevention, spill prevention, and solid waste operations
Inspection and auditing for environmental compliance
Problem solving through selection and implementation of pollution prevention Best Management Practices for discharge permit compliance
Support a variety of environmental engineering tasks for remedial system design and construction
Assist with the evaluation and permitting of environmental projects
Presentation of environmental topics to employees, clients, and contractors
Travel to project sites within Washington and Oregon required
Represent Apex in a safe and professional manner both internally and externally
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology or related field
Experience collecting field samples of soil, groundwater, surface water, stormwater, wastewater, and air using standard environmental protocols
Experience preparing regulatory reports and permit-related documentation
Travel to project sites within Washington and Oregon required
Represent Apex in a safe and professional manner both internally and externally
Preferred
Master's degree a plus
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred
