Responsibilities

Installing the updated Python packages in the existing workspace images
Creating new Docker images for Udacity Workspaces. It will require writing Dockerfile, Makefile, and some shell scripts. Will require some knowledge of GKE
Updating IAM policies, RBAC configurations, and resource provisioning scripts as needed
Creating new Cloud Labs using our partner tools. Will require knowledge of AWS Policies, Azure RBAC, and Terraform/CloudFormation
Creating AMIs in AWS with the required tools, drivers, and configurations
Installing tools in Linux environments and configuring them for student use
Developing Infrastructure as Code templates to automate resource provisioning for exercises and projects

Required

Expertise with popular AWS, Azure, and GCP services, including AI services
Advanced knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
Strong experience writing Dockerfiles, Makefiles, and shell scripts
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
Deep understanding of cloud security, including IAM policies, Azure RBAC, and GCP Identity Management
Proven ability to create and configure AMIs, VM images, and container images
Experience with Linux system administration and package management
Proficiency in setting up and configuring development environments and toolchains
Strong automation skills and ability to build reproducible infrastructure
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation is a plus
Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve student-reported issues efficiently
Excellent written communication skills for documenting changes and providing clear instructions
Strong attention to detail with a student-first mindset
