Akers Financial Group is a financial planning firm seeking a highly energized and confident individual to serve as a Financial Para Planner. The role involves assisting planners and advisors in developing client-specific financial plans, corresponding with clients, and preparing necessary documentation for meetings.
Responsibilities
Assist the Planner and Advisors in developing and servicing client specific financial plans
Correspond with client and prospective clients to obtain necessary information for financial plan development
Input data into industry specific software to obtain financial plan guidelines
Create meeting Discussion Items as directed by Planner and Advisor for client meetings
Prepare client review documents for phone, virtual or face to face meetings
Be aware of and adhere to industry compliance requirements
Assist the Planner and Advisor with client meetings when requested
Work closely with Advisor and Planner to implement client specific goals
Assist in research concerning financial market conditions and available products
Attend Investment Committee meetings
Work closely with clients to help develop enduring relationships
Document all client interactions in Client Relationship Management software
Assist in the research of client service problems as needed
Interact with financial companies via telephone and email
Ensure office procedures are followed
Preform general administration and support functions for the office as required
Preform other duties and projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum four year degree
Minimum 1-2 years Previous Financial Service experience
Knowledge of key financial management concepts
Ability to communicate with co-workers, clients and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
Ability to investigate, research and resolve problems or concerns
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to make rule-based and analytical decisions
Ability to organize, prioritize and handle multiple tasks
Ability to pay close attention to detail, work under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to take complete and accurate notes
Ability to operate various office equipment including personal computer, copier, etc
Ability to learn in-house financial industry specific software and tools
Skill in utilizing various software packages such as Microsoft Office & Outlook
Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills
Dedicated to develop a career in the financial services industry with the potential for advancement within the company
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, etc
Ability to draft effective business correspondence
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages for price quotes
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Preferred
Desire to pursue Health and Life Insurance Licensing
Desire to pursue Series 7 and Series 66 licensing
