Lead HR Business Partner — Southern California

Responsibilities
Partner with store leaders to deliver proactive HR support aligned to business goals
Enhance the teammate experience across multiple retail locations
Provide expert guidance on employee relations, performance management, organizational development, and workforce planning
Champion company culture and values by fostering an inclusive and respectful work environment
Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence for talent development, compensation, benefits, and DEI programs
Analyze HR data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement
Ensure compliance with California labor laws and HR best practices
Lead change management initiatives to increase engagement and retention
Oversee headcount management and partner with recruitment teams to ensure timely staffing
Qualification
Required
Experience in multi-unit, high-volume retail environments
Strong knowledge of state and federal employment law
Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
Willingness to travel regionally up to 50% for store visits, meetings, and events
Tactical, hands-on HR approach
Preferred
Bilingual in Spanish
HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)
Experience with unions and labor relations
