Inside Sales Associate - Estimator

McMillan James Equipment Company (MJEC) is a manufacturers’ representative offering commercial HVAC, plumbing, hydronics, and controls equipment. The Inside Sales Associate - Estimator will be responsible for equipment selection, estimating and generating proposals, while ensuring customer satisfaction and managing project timelines.

Responsibilities

Take off and estimate Air Solutions jobs per McMillan James standards, adhering to process and documentation requirements
Determine project requirements, constraints, and responsibilities to meet all of the customer’s system design, installation and maintenance requirements
Work with salesperson to create and maintain job files for each job throughout its duration
Support salesperson on assigned projects in order to optimize the job through the stages of product selection, specifications, reviewing plans, estimates, proposals, value engineering and redesigns
Manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis
Responsible for preparing correct project related data information and equipment for order entry
Must be able to read understand and interpret building plans & specs and be familiar with common system designs
Continuously aim for improvement of technical product knowledge, selection knowledge, estimate precision, quality and speed
