Sr Principal SW Development Analyst – Performance Assessment Engr (26-026)

They are seeking a Sr Principal SW Development Analyst – Performance Assessment Engineer to support the Missile Defense System's Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications program, focusing on performance assessment and analysis of complex systems.

Responsibilities
Development of ad hoc post-processing analysis tools and plots to evaluate and analyze C2BMC performance, ideally using Java or Python
Monitor C2BMC development updates and analyze them to identify regressions following code modifications
Collaborate across teams to understand and conduct deep-dive analysis of C2BMC performance using established Technical Performance Metrics (TPMs), Special Interest Items (SIIs), and other metrics to determine the C2BMC System's efficacy across timing, track quality, discrimination accuracy, and other parameters over large datasets
Serve as the technical bridge between analysts and developers by translating analysis findings into clear, actionable development tasks
Creation and presentation of analysis documents/briefs, including detailed presentations used by internal/external leadership to assess C2BMC performance
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's Degree in the preferred majors: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master's degree in a related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or 12 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree
Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
May assume project leadership roles and act as the primary customer contact for critical technical issues under contract
Preferred
Programming languages including Java, C++, and Python; database management; and networking or data communications
Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Experience producing tooling and products to support the analysis or assessment of a system or project is desired, preferably in Java and Python
Experience with DevOps-related tooling (Jenkins, HTCondor, GitLab, etc.) is desired
Familiarity with applying statistical distributions to hypothesis testing, model validation, inferential statistics, confidence-interval estimation, and the interpretation of goodness-of-fit tests is preferred
Experience in systems engineering for DoD Information Systems is desirable
Experience creating and briefing chart packages for tooling or analysis performed
