Responsibilities
Managing cashier clerks and perform a variety of accounting, utility billing and collection functions
Providing customer service
Handling customer complaints and concerns
Supervising utility billing and collections functions
Ensure excellent customer service
Supervise and evaluate staff
Reviewing reports for accuracy and make adjustments as needed
Preparing and mailing out service bills
Maintaining records of returned checks
Preparing journal entries and logs
Preparing letters to customers of returned items
Collecting monies for returned items
Balancing worksheet to general ledger
Providing assistance and support to other divisions within the department as needed
Qualification
Required
Required education: Associates Degree in a general professional or technical field
Required Work Experience: Three (3) years of experience in utility billing, data entry, accounting and management
Must have a current valid class 'C' driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety with a satisfactory driving record
Preferred
Education Preference: Bachelor Degree in related field
Experience Preference: Five (5) years of experience in utility billing, data entry, accounting and management
Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred
