Responsibilities
Defend public agencies and municipalities in matters including police liability, employment and labor defense, and general tort/premises liability
Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs
Manage discovery, including document review and analysis of public records
Participate in depositions, motion practice, trial preparation, hearings, and appeals
Collaborate with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams throughout all phases of litigation
Qualification
Required
J.D. from an accredited law school
Active California Bar license in good standing
3-5 years of litigation experience; public entity or civil defense experience preferred
Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
