Responsibilities
Correct selection of products identified by slot number and description over a headset. If using headset must also identify back the verification digit to confirm correct slot selection. Products will weight from 5 to 70 lbs each
Proper stacking of merchandise on pallet to prevent damaged merchandise
Production quantities within expectable warehouse standards (95%)
Direct loading of pallets onto trailers
Proper operation of equipment so as not to damage equipment or property or to create a safety hazard to employee or others working around employee
Reports to work when scheduled and on time
Cleaning of warehouse when needed
Recouping of salvageable merchandise
Other duties might include quality control checking, checking out-of-stock merchandise, inspections
Qualification
Required
Must be 18+
High school or equivalent work experience
No experience necessary
Must have the ability carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions; deal with a few concrete variables
Must have the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies orally or in writing
Must have the ability to perform repetitive lifting and heavy work: exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and 25-50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10-20 pounds of force constantly to lift and place objects
Must take and pass warehouse fitness test, drug screen and hearing test
Visual requirements include clarity of vision at distance of less than 20 inches and up to 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision
Must be able to hear in both ears well enough to maintain safety-hearing co-worker horn or shout of warning; must be able to maintain hearing well enough to wear headset covering one ear and still maintain hearing for safety in the other ear
Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
