Engineering Technician - Distribution
SEnergy is seeking a focused, detail-oriented Engineering Technician to join their team. The role involves entering data into various platforms to support engineering projects, with responsibilities including data entry, preparing analysis in AutoCAD, and coordinating with engineering staff and field personnel.

Responsibilities
Collects and gathers information on documents
Prepares analysis in AutoCAD for engineering team, including sag and clearance calculations
Develop and prepare TXDOT permit drawings and exhibits, acquire ROW maps as needed, coordinate with engineer to ensure ROW lines are properly drawn
Data entry into Client systems, including but not limited to NIS, NISC, Partner
Enter construction units for pole placements on Electrical Distribution projects
Prepare KMZ files and download image files from TNRIS website, as required
Create reports using Excel
Quality control project work to maintain the expected standards for project deliverables, including CAD work ensuring accurate scales, proper spelling, proper formatting, and completeness
Prepare staking sheets and construction cost estimates for projects
Work with our GIS team to assist in any ESRI mapping updates
Coordinate with field personnel concerning questions or missing items
Attend project meetings as necessary to coordinate design and address any issues
Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with whom project work interfaces
Stay abreast with changing technology and design methodologies associated with Transmission & Distribution design
Ensure adherence to Client standards to develop detailed design plans for projects
Perform administrative duties as required including mailings, office supply, and document reproductions
Maintain good project documentation
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Strong (effective) written and verbal communication skills
Strong skills of time management, organizational and multi-tasking
Excel and word processing applications proficiency
Ability to listen and hear
Good eyesight
Sitting and use of hands and arms
Preferred
Associate degree
1+ experience in Electric Utility Distribution industry
AutoCAD experience
