Human Resources Team Leader
Kimley-Horn is one of Fortune Magazine's '100 Best Companies to Work For', seeking an experienced Human Resources Team Lead to enhance their Regional HR team. The role involves overseeing daily operations, mentoring HR team members, and leading recruitment and training efforts across multiple locations.

Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations, workload planning, and team leadership of the regional HR team
Directly supervise and mentor some regional HR Partners, HR Coordinators, and/or HR Assistants
Train others on technical aspects of the role, including tasks like the Leave of Absence process, Exit Interview process, etc
Lead recruiting and integration of new HR team members, primarily HRAs, HRCs, and HRPs
Provide support to members of the HR Team on complex ER issues
Lead the coordination of regional training plans and facilitate these trainings
Manage the attendee selection process of several firmwide training programs utilizing other team members to execute these processes
Partner with HR Manager to lead annual processes like Salary/GLC and OPA reviews
Serve as backfill for HRP during extended absence
May lead the integration efforts for Senior Practice Builder hires and/or Finishing Well meetings for Shareholder or non-shareholder retirements
Build and maintain relationships with practice, including OPLs and other Senior Leaders
Ensure the quality of the team deliverables (e.g. exit interviews, UKG Pro data) are of the highest standards
May facilitate at firmwide training programs
Lead HR subcommittees that have a regional and/or firmwide impact
Serve as primary contact with Firmwide Communications on regional communications, red envelope distribution, etc
Lead team staff meetings; partner with HR Manager and/or fill in, as needed, in various meetings like RT meetings, OPL calls, etc
Assist practice teams throughout the region to ensure high morale and the development of healthy teams
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's (or Master's) degree in HR or related field
Minimum of 8 years of HR experience in professional services or a relevant field encompassing the responsibilities and duties outlined above
Previous supervisory experience is required
Understand and demonstrate key aspects of Kimley-Horn culture
Knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws
Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and HRIS systems
Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal communication, presentation, and relationship building
Excellent organization and follow-through skills as well as the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with limited daily supervision
Ability and desire to work collaboratively with team members within the region, as well as across the firm, to meet goals
Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide excellent internal and external client service
Occasional travel required to support the needs of the region, including overnight
Preferred
PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SC certification preferred
