Responsibilities

Support Production and Sustainment Material Review Board (MRB) repairs to ensure discrepant parts or assemblies meet required strength standards
Perform stress analysis on composite and metallic materials, including sizing of detail parts and assessing the strength of primary and secondary aircraft structures and systems
Certify new and existing designs by performing strength analysis, releasing drawings, and preparing analysis reports
Evaluate and compare structural efficiency and weight for different structural arrangements and concepts through analysis and trade studies
Provide input for structural tests, including test requirements, loads, and predicted results

Required

Strong foundation in stress analysis of both composite and metallic structures
Ability to apply advanced analytical techniques to ensure the structural integrity of aircraft components and systems

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access
Possess an active Secret clearance to start

Preferred

Experience with free-body diagrams, classical hand calculations, Finite Element Modeling and Analysis including pre- and post-processing
Experience in Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations
Experience using Linux and Microsoft Operating Systems, Microsoft Office, and additional programming languages
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate in a team-based environment
