$37.03/hr - $37.03/hrMindlance is seeking a Windows AI Selfhost Tech to assist in setting up and managing selfhost devices. The role involves installing device images, communicating with the Windows OS team, and performing various hardware and software testing tasks.

Responsibilities
Contractor will be responsible to install device images on all selfhost devices (10-150 units)
Communicate/interface with Windows OS team and identify and retrieve the early builds of Windows OS as a base
Communicate with platform software leads and identify collection of drivers, BIOS and applications that need to be added to device image
Use tools like DISM and WinPE to create and manipulate custom OS images
Understand how to manage and extract the Windows Driver Store to migrate and install drivers
Generate basic scripts in PowerShell
Understand diskpart and storage device provisioning
Download and rum Microsoft ADK for testing
Run Suspend to test sleep, hibernate and reboot cycles
Run ad hoc testing to reproduce failure scenarios
Prep devices for demos (special HW configurations, SW and test loads)
Run around Austin campus troubleshooting, delivering and replacing test devices
Assemble computers, power supplies, memory, processors and other components and get device running
Read and follow CRB Guides to flash basic firmware to get CRBs working
Learn/know how to use dediprog to flash SPI components
Qualification
Required
Hands-on experience in DISM
Hands-on experience in WinPE
Experience in scripting
Experience in creating OS images
Ability to install device images on selfhost devices
Ability to communicate/interface with Windows OS team
Ability to identify and retrieve early builds of Windows OS
Ability to communicate with platform software leads
Ability to identify collection of drivers, BIOS and applications for device image
Ability to use tools like DISM and WinPE to create and manipulate custom OS images
Understanding of managing and extracting the Windows Driver Store
Ability to generate basic scripts in PowerShell
Understanding of diskpart and storage device provisioning
