InternMedical Metrics, Inc. is seeking a Cybersecurity Intern to help safeguard the organization’s assets and maintain overall security posture. The intern will assess vulnerabilities, prepare for penetration tests, review security reports, and assist with IT helpdesk issues under the mentorship of the Director of Information Technology.

Responsibilities
Work with the Director of Information Technology, IT Helpdesk, or vendor tech support as needed to ensure IT systems are protected against security threats
Review and assess vulnerability scan results, penetration test reports, ARO’s, firewall logs, antivirus alerts, and software patches
Research and draft remediation plans that address High and Critical vulnerabilities
Provide basic after-hours on-call support to users experiencing issues or escalate if necessary
Perform other duties of related nature as assigned
Comply with IT policies and procedures
Understand Medical Metrics’ Quality Policy and supports the achievement of the organization’s quality objectives
Comply with company’s policies and procedures, as well as ISO 9001:2015, 21 CFR Part 820, and Good Clinical Practices (GCP) relative to job tasks
Ensures compliance with HR policies and procedures
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalency exam
Understanding of cybersecurity best practices
Basic network troubleshooting skills
Strong customer service skills
Aptitude and willingness to learn and self-teach new skills
Detail-oriented
Self-motivated, disciplined individual who can perform at a high level with minimal supervision
Preferred
Associate or Bachelor's degree in a field related to IT or cybersecurity strongly preferred
Relevant cybersecurity training
CISSP or equivalent certification
Small business experience
