LHH is partnering with a well-known, publicly traded organization to identify an Accounting Manager to join a high-performing finance team. This role involves leading the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, overseeing the preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements, and partnering on budgeting and forecasting.

Responsibilities

Lead key aspects of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Oversee preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements and related disclosures
Maintain and evolve accounting policies and procedures in line with U.S. GAAP and public company requirements
Partner cross-functionally on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Review journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger activity to ensure data integrity
Prepare and deliver financial reporting packages for senior leadership
Act as a primary point of contact for external auditors and support audit-related activities

GAAP complianceFinancial reportingAccounting policiesCPA certificationExcel skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting
4–6+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including public accounting exposure
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

Preferred

CPA strongly preferred
