InternFuturewei Technologies, Inc. is seeking ARVR Research Interns to conduct research in various areas related to spatial computing and XR technologies. The role involves independent research aimed at academic publication, collaboration with team members, and optimization of algorithms and application performance.

Responsibilities
Conduct Research in one of the areas of spatial computing, distributed architect, computer vision, graphic rendering, avatar animation, AI/ML modeling, and other technical areas related to XR and Metaverse
A specific research topic will be identified in the above area, and aimed for independent research work that is suitable for academic publication of IEEE journals or/and conferences
Work closely with other team members, jointly prototype, implement and evaluate algorithms; and optimize application or algorithm performance through analysis, code refactoring, and system tuning
Some industrial and academic collaboration, and professional community involvement
Qualification
Required
Working towards MS & PhD in Computer Science, EE, or related fields
Proven experience in academic research and publication
Strong knowledge in software development in related fields with hands-on experiences
Proficient in at least one of the following programming languages: C/C++, Python
Proficient in AI/ML, ideally familiar with some LLMs and image models such as SAM
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills and teamwork abilities
Eagerness to learn new technologies
Preferred
Knowledge and hands-on experience in ARVR system, computer graphic, computer vision, or machine learning algorithms is a strong plus
Experience in using common ML models is desired, particularly with LLMs, digital human models, and image and video models
Industrial experience a plus
