Field Services Engineer
Airlite Plastics is a premier, privately held, family-owned manufacturer headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. The Field Services Engineer will provide technical support in the packaging field at client locations, working closely with sales and customers to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime.

Responsibilities
Work closely with Sales to respond to customer or prospect needs qualifying and testing Airlite packaging
Assess customer filling operations, analyze production data, downtime, waste, and yield
Provide written reports with findings, root cause analysis, and improvement recommendations
Perform and document efficiency audits at customer facilities when requested
Collaborate with Sales and Operations to define project scope, goals and deliverables in support of customer’s equipment needs
Plan, organize and schedule all phases of Field Service project work aligned with customer contract; report and document project progress and findings to appropriate parties
Analyze feasibility of designs considering costs, time limitations, planning, and other technical factors
As needed, assist internal and external customers with obtaining quotes and bids from external equipment vendors
Coordinate with OEM’s on the installation, training, set-up and operation of new prototypes or updated designs
Support trials, line startups, and production ramp-ups to ensure tooling and materials perform as intended
Provide training and ongoing education to external customers on the proper set-up and operation of equipment
Troubleshoot external customer performance issues of Airlite’s product in customer’s equipment
Work directly with SME’s in manufacturing operations to maximize productivity and improve quality
Monitor, document and report product issues to appropriate parties
Communicate with Kodiakooler’s customers, schedule and perform live lane temperature testing at customer’s locations
Record, compile, label the live lane temperature testing data and create reports
65%-85% travel is required for this role

Superior knowledge and skills for basic maintenance and adjustment of filling equipment

Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and containing abstract and concrete variables
Working knowledge of Engineering and business software, including AutoCad
Must be able to travel domestically approximately 75% of the time
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired
Working knowledge of manufacturing filling equipment
Knowledge of manufacturing procedures and processes preferably in plastics manufacturing
